I was born and raised in Nucla and had the opportunity to come back to the area after graduating college to raise my two boys with my husband Perry. Both my boys, Kyle and Weston, graduated from Norwood and have been very successful in pursuing careers they both love. I moved back right after college graduation for my first teaching job as a 4th grade teacher. I taught in that position for 5 years. I then became a business owner for the next 4 years and realized that teaching was my true calling. I became the 1st grade teacher at Norwood schools, where I would teach for the next 12 years. After becoming interested in administration I went back to school to get my masters in administration and am now one of the acting principals at a school where I have dedicated most of my career. I enjoy all the activities this area has to offer like hunting, fishing, biking and the simple country life. I absolutely love living where I do and being a part of all the amazing kids I interact with. I look forward to creating a school where kids are able to pursue their passions in life by giving them the education and experiences they need to be successful. I want our school to be a place that kids, teachers and community want to be and stay.
