Coach Andrew Parlagreco’s Bio

I grew up in the tiny town of Waleska Georgia. My house was right on a lake, so swimming and water sports were a big part of my summers as a child. I also played soccer and skateboarded throughout my youth. They have become lifelong activities. I graduated from Cherokee High School in 2001. I received a scholarship to play soccer for Reinhardt University. I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health.  I received my first job offer from the Fayette County Board of Education the same year. I accepted and taught for 7 years, the first three as an itinerant teacher in elementary schools and the next four at the middle school level. I coached a variety of sports ranging from grades 7 to 12 throughout my time in Fayette County. The sport I coached was football, wrestling, softball, volleyball and soccer. I had the most success as an assistant soccer Coach to two state titles for the McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs, back to back Champions in 2011 and 2012. I moved to Colorado in August of 2014 to be the Head Coach for the Telluride High School boys soccer team. We had a great regular season with a 13-2 record and a 13 game win streak. We lost in the first round of the playoffs totaling our record to 13-3. At the present, I moved to Norwood Colorado in the summer of 2015 and I teach Physical Education grades k-6th for Norwood Elementary School.
