    Full Time K-12 Art Teacher

    Norwood School District is seeking a dynamic candidate to serve as our Art Instructor to develop in each pupil an appreciation of the arts as part of general culture.  Today’s visual arts students need a repertoire of knowledge and skills that are more diverse, complex, and integrated.  The teacher has the responsibility to help students explore the application of materials, tools, techniques, technologies, and processes; and relate to visual art to various historical and cultural traditions while following the Colorado state standards.  The candidate will collaborate with other teachers in the building to provide the best instruction for our students.

    Part Time HS Spanish Teacher

    Norwood Public Schools is seeking a dynamic candidate with effective instructional delivery techniques to serve as our high school Spanish teacher.  The teacher will instruct students in order to develop competence in Spanish and an understanding of the structure of the language. The position may require teaching Spanish 1, Spanish 2, and possibly Spanish3. This position requires the teacher to instruct using the Colorado State Standards as a foundation for what we want students to know and be able to do.

    Coaching high school participants in basketball to attain a high level of achievement.

    • Demonstrates enthusiasm for working with their athletes.
    • Provides assistance in providing academic and behavioral support to students.
    • Teaches the inside out fundamental philosophy, skills, and knowledge essential to the sport.
    • Provides opportunities for all members of the team to participate, depending upon their ability and effort, while maintaining a competitive squad.
    • Develops a well-organized practice schedule with specific objectives for each practice.
    • Maintains and monitors the daily activities of the student and provides a variety of assistance when needed.
    • Supervises practice area and locker room when athletes are present.
    • Interacts and communicates appropriately with parents and other staff.

    POSITION SUMMARY
    JOB GOAL: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth.
    Norwood Public Schools is seeking a candidate with experience in food service. The position will assist in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner, assume responsibility for seeing to it that during meal service periods, ensure the supply of foods offered is replenished regularly. They will also assist in the daily clean up of the kitchen and service area, perform major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the kitchen manager, and assume responsibility for storage and disposal of unused food.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Food Service Experience Preferred
    2. Demonstrated aptitude for successful performance of the tasks
    3. Requires lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
     
    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Nine month work year.
