SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAM
Studies show that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, especially for children. Eating school breakfast improves children's educational performance, behavior and health.
Hunger Free Colorado works with the Colorado Department of Education, school districts and communities to increase participation in the School Breakfast Program so more students have access to a nutritious start of the school day.
At Norwood Schools, all students from Pre-K through 8th Grade may eat a free breakfast every school day.
For High School students, we have an extended break after the first period and a breakfast cart sets up in the high school hall. Breakfast costs $1.75 unless you qualify for the free or reduced price meal program.
You are always encouraged to apply to the free and reduced meal program.
