    High School Science Teacher
    Deadline: Open Until Filled

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Norwood Public Schools is seeking a dynamic candidate with effective instructional delivery techniques to serve as our high school science teacher. The teacher will instruct students in order to develop in each of them an awareness of the role of science in economic and social progress; to motivate each student to acquire knowledge of scientific facts and principles and skills in scientific methods of problem solving; and to discover and develop special talents of students in scientific fields. This position requires the teacher to instruct using the Colorado State Standards as a foundation for what we want students to know and be able to do. Subject area to be taught would include Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physical Science, and Health, with the possibility of a section of Biology.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Valid Colorado State Teacher License with one or more science endorsements
    2. Experience Preferred
    3. Highly Qualified Status

    Middle School Math & Health Teacher

    District Administrative Secretary / Receptionist

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The job of Administrative School Secretary/Receptionist is to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Administration. This includes communicating information to students, parents, staff, and/or other districts, ensuring compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements, and supporting the broad array of services provided to students, parents, staff and administration.

    Responsivities include but are not limited to:
    Maintaining student records both electronic and paper records, process incoming and departing students, maintain activity funds accounting, answer phones, maintain school calendar of activities, greet visitors, provide new staff orientation, assist the school nurse with administering first aid and prescription medications to students, maintain a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and department databases, inventory management, and a variety of other duties to assist the administration to successfully accomplish district goals.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Valid Colorado License or the qualifications to obtain one
    2. Experience with PC computers and Microsoft Office
    3. Secretary / Receptionist experience preferred
    4. Experience with Google Suite a plus
    5. Experience with Infinite Campus a plus

    High School Head Football Coach
    Norwood High School is actively searching for a Head Football Coach to lead our team into the future beginning with 2021-22 football season. This person should be highly motivated, organized, knowledgeable with coaching the game of football as well as possessing great people skills.

    The Norwood High School Football Head Coach supports the combination of academic and athletic success for each student-athlete. This position instructs student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. The head coach helps to build a positive team and school culture and provides instruction that leads to the formulation of values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence for the student-athletes. The head coach is accountable to the K-12 Athletic Director.

    Supervises: High School Football Assistant Coaches

    Compensation: This is a stipend-paid position and the pay is $4,000 a season. The school participates in the Colorado Public Schools Retirement System PERA.

Responsibilities include maintaining the overall cleanliness of the school or facility, including all cleaning and sanitizing, minor repairs and general maintenance. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

    Some dirt and dust, some odors and fumes, some hazardous materials, some temperature extremes.
