    Secondary Physical Education Teacher

    Norwood School District is seeking a dynamic candidate to serve as a secondary physical education teacher. The secondary physical education instructor is responsible for teaching students 6th – 12th Grade. Their primary responsibility is to engage the students in sport competitions or other physical activity, but the job of a physical education instructor goes well beyond playing games. Physical educators must stress the importance of maintaining a healthy way of life, through both exercise and positive lifestyle choices.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Valid Colorado Teaching License or the qualifications to obtain one.

    Part Time School Nurse

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Using their clinical knowledge and judgment, school nurses routinely perform the following duties:
    • Provide healthcare to students
    • Perform health screenings
    • Coordinate referrals to private healthcare providers
    • Serve as liaisons between school personnel, family, and community healthcare providers to ensure a healthy school environment
    • Overseeing medication administration, health care procedures, and the development of healthcare plans
    • Monitoring immunizations, managing communicable diseases, and assessing the school environment as to prevent injury and ensure safety
    • Making decisions related to the delegation of healthcare tasks as directed by state laws and professional practice guidance

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Job Description: Coaching high school participants in basketball to attain a high level of achievement.

    • Demonstrates enthusiasm for working with their athletes.
    • Provides assistance in providing academic and behavioral support to students.
    • Teaches the inside/out fundamental philosophy, skills, and knowledge essential to the sport.
    • Provides opportunities for all members of the team to participate, depending upon their ability and effort, while maintaining a competitive squad.
    • Develops a well-organized practice schedule with specific objectives for each practice.
    • Maintains and monitors the daily activities of the student and provides a variety of assistance when needed.
    • Supervises practice area and locker room when athletes are present.
    • Interacts and communicates appropriately with parents and other staff.

    Maintenance Summer Help

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Responsible for helping maintain school grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and any other support to the maintenance and custodial staff.

    Position Hours: Up to 25 per week for 10 weeks.
    Hourly Rate: $11.10 per hour


    Start Date: June 3, 2019
    Position Deadline: Open Until Filled.

    REPORTS TO: Maintenance Director

    TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Deep Cleaning of Building
    • Light Maintenance
    • Some Grounds Work
    POSITION REQUIREMENTS
    • High School Student Preferred
    • General Expectations
    o Ability to take directions and work cooperatively with other staff.
    o Maintains a generally positive attitude
    o Observes all district policies and procedures

    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    • Lifting 20 to 50 pounds on a regular basis
