MTSS - Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Leadership Team (MLT)

The purpose of the MTSS team is to ensure the sustainable implementation of district/school-wide usable innovations/initiatives. This is done with the use of Implementation Science and a Multi-Tiered System of Support framework. Basically, systems implementation work.

MTSS is a framework that helps educators, families, and students meet the academic and behavioral needs of all students. MTSS grew out of the integration of two other intervention-based frameworks: Response to Intervention (RTI) and Proactive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). RtI and PBIS still exist, but under the umbrella of MTSS.

The Five Components of Colorado MTSS are Team-Driven Shared Leadership; Data-Based Problem Solving and Decision-Making; Family, School, and Community Partnering (FSCP); a Layered Continuum of Supports, and Evidence-Based Practices, which are the foundation for a sustainable system of support for the district.

MTSS Leadership Team meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month during the school year at 4:15 p.m.

The 2022-23 MTSS Leadership Team is Eileen Cahalane (Kindergarten), Catherine Kolbet (Secondary Science), Nate Lee (Secondary History), Robin Snyder (Preschool), Quentin Strand (5th grade),Sara Rasmussen (Assistant Principal), and Sam Ryan (K-12 Principal).
