Increased Law Enforcement / EMS Activity at school

Increased Law Enforcement / EMS Activity

The school is in the process of rewriting our emergency response plan. We are working closely with the Norwood Town Marshal, the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office and Norwood Fire and EMS.  We are planning joint exercises and drills so that all agencies are prepared to respond in an emergency, that we all work with a common language and terminology, and to help insure clear interagency communication.

As a result you may see an increase in activity at the school with Norwood Marshal, Fire, EMS and Sheriff Personnel walking around the school to attend meetings and to get staff familiarized with the school facilities. We welcome and appreciate having law enforcement/first responders on campus so that students and staff can develop stronger rapport with them.
