Degrees and Certifications:
I am a Colorado native who is has been working in the field of education for over 15 years. I began my teaching career working for George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. There I taught, and later managed, the Hemlock Overlook Center for Outdoor Education. After moving back to Colorado, I worked in the Ouray and Montrose school districts as a Substitute, Para-Professional, and as a licensed teacher over the course of the last decade. I have also taught for the Telluride Kid's Ski School for 17 seasons. I am excited to bring my experience with the outdoors into the classroom, and seek to foster meaningful connections that nurture not only our minds, but our bodies as well. A long-time resident of Ridway, I am looking forward to creating a classroom that reflects the friendship and support that characterizes our small communities.
